The Smartstox Online TV Talk Show is alerting its subscribers and other resource stock investors to the new discovery made by Kenrich-Eskay Mining Corp (TSX-V:KRE)(FRANKFURT-BERLIN: K7N) at their Corey property near Barrick's renowned Eskay Creek mine in northwestern BC.
Yesterday Kenrich-Eskay announced the first assay results for the 2008 drilling of the highly prospective Red Lightning Zone in the eastern part of the Corey Property. At Red Lightning, Kenrich-Eskay is finding copper, nickel and cobalt-bearing massive sulphides within a basalt sub-volcanic setting, lying within the same Salmon River Formation stratigraphy that hosts the Eskay Creek gold-silver mine. The company is well positioned in the exploration play as it holds a full 28 km of strike length of the 32 km long Eskay Rift belt.
So far in 2008, Kenrich-Eskay has completed seven holes at the Red Lightning for 1749.4 metres of total drilling, and each hole has intersected the target zone of oxidized iron sulfide within a chloritized massive mafic volcanic rock. Together they have extended its strike length to at least 100 metres and its down-dip extent to at least 220 metres. The zone remains open down dip and along strike. Visually promising mineralization was intersected in four diamond drill holes, and samples of the core were submitted for rush assays. Included in the results is a 10 metre intercept grading 1.03% copper, 0.55% nickel, 0.1% cobalt and 1gpt gold. Additional assays, including PGE results, are pending.
This new sub-volcanic copper-nickel-cobalt discovery at Red Lightning represents an exciting new style of mineralization for the Eskay Rift at the Corey Property. Kenrich-Eskay's land tenure position dominates all of the new exploration target possibilities.
In our most recent Smartstox interview with Wally Boguski, president of Kenrich-Eskay Mining Corp., he discusses the exploration plans for their Corey property; their new option on ground immediately surrounding the Eskay Creek mine; and the summer program for their Babs copper-molybdenum exploration property near Smithers BC.
